Papers

"Quebec's Lesson: A Path of Peaceful Separatism" (Harvard International Review, Summer 1999) - this piece was published in the Social Issues Resource Series database.
Here is the full text.

"A Lesson For Protesters" - an opinion piece that I wrote in The Harvard Crimson, January 2001, about a student radio controversy at Rice University, and its possible implications for Harvard.

One of my college application essays was published in this book. The essay sounds a bit obnoxious and overwrought, but I really do like to cook!

"Singing for Shamu: Competing Normative Discourses of Global Whaling Management" - my undergraduate senior thesis, finished March 2002. This is an MS Word document, about 600 kilobytes; click and it will open in new window.

"Can India Tunnel Through? Energy Use in a Services Boom" - an empirical economics paper that I wrote for my master's program at LSE, finished May 2004. PDF, opens in new window.

"Strengthening Enforcement To Attract Wider Participation in the Climate Change Regime" - a paper I wrote for seminar in international environmental law in Harvard Law School (May 2005). PDF, opens in new window.

"Making the Sale on Contingent Valuation" - deals with theoretical issues underpinning the empirical technique of contingent valuation, vis-a-vis its role in the legal system. With support of HLS Olin Fellowship (August 2007). Published in Tulane Environmental Law Journal (2008). PDF, opens in new window.
